 Re: Buzzard 105.5 KRBI
The Buzzard is still classic rock, but has moved to an 80's base, much like 97.3 The Brew in Milwaukee

Looking at their recently played list, I think it sounds pretty good. Especially considering that KDOG and KEEZ have changed formats.

 Re: Buzzard 105.5 KRBI
I'm not a big fan of this 'new classic rock' thing they got going. Sometimes I'll hear a song that hasn't been played in forever, or hear a song I never heard of..which is cool. But they follow it up with 'classic rock' songs like Fastball 'The Way' or some other random late 90's alt-pop/rock song.
Just because a song is 10 years old, doesn't make it classic rock.
While I'm going on Mankato classic rock stations, I'm a bit disappointed in KXLP's 'Deep Cut' songs at the top of each hour. Songs I've heard being labeled as 'deep cut'
'Junoirs Farm' - Paul McCarntey 'Sweet Hitch Hiker' - CCR 'Badge' - Cream
Those songs seem like Classic Rock staples

 Re: Buzzard 105.5 KRBI
To me it's an 80's based classic rock format similar to 96.1 The Brew in Omaha and 97.3 The Brew in Milwaukee (Clear Channel's "Brew" brand stations) http://www.yes.com/station/KQBW - take a look at that

 Re: Buzzard 105.5 KRBI
105.5 has Creed "With Arms Wide Open" right now...they had Nickelback "How You Remind Me" earlier tonight, both songs are also on sister station 95.7 The Blaze (active rock). Since they call themselves a "classic rock" station, I think I'm getting old and I'm only 23 (and have been in radio for 4 years)!

 Re: Buzzard 105.5 KRBI
The Box 101.9 in Fargo did a Brew/Buzzard type 80's rock format in its last 2 years or so...until CC sold it to Ingstad and his consultant decided to put its fingerprint on it so it flipped back to traditional classic rock as Rock 102

As long as they're changing the format, they should change the identifier to something more accurate with regards to the parent company...

 Re: Buzzard 105.5 KRBI
While I think everything 3 Eagles touches turns to shit... I think this is one they might have finally got right.... pretty sure the classic rock demo has changed and everyone is tiered of the dame old Boston, Skynyrd, Zepplin, ect... As always, I am sure 3 eagles will find a way to screw this up too.
